Renfro Valley Adventure Ride

All slots full at this time

KTM AMA National Adventure Ride Series - 2010 opening round, Renfro Valley, KY. May 1 & 2.

KTM sponsors the event, but you do not have to ride orange to ride the event. It's open to everyone, since KTM is cool like that... What we are going to do is use this larger 2 day Adventure Ride for our smaller 2 day Adventure Ride. It's very well organized and the trails are awesome.

This is a 2-day adventure ride in and around the Daniel Boone National Forest, and you are supposed to have a DOT legal bike and a M/C drivers license. AMA membership is required, and you can buy that on site if you wish. I have heard that some people ride this event on MX bikes, but the promoter does ask that your bike have no race numbers on it. "Enduro legal" is what a great number of people will be - lights and some kind of tag.

Renfro Valley is about 55 miles over the Kentucky border off I-75, about a 300 mile (5 hour) trip from the Atlanta area. We will leave on Friday, April 30 around 9am, and arrive at the Adventure Ride around 3pm that afternoon, giving us plenty of time to unload, get our hotel rooms, chill out, and have a nice dinner that night. Then we ride Sat and Sun, as much as you want (some folks do 35 miles a day, some do over 150 miles a day), and we drive back Sunday afternoon evening, returning around 11pm - Sunday evening.

Cost for lodging (Days Inn), 2 day entry fee($90), transportation for you and your bike, will be only $345, including dinner Sat night, plus breakfast Sat and Sun morning. I have a few discount slots available at $275, if would like to help mornings or afternoons with our KTM World Display at the event. If you choose to help out, you will work a half day in the KTM World display, but you will still get to ride all morning or all afternoon both days, about 5 hours riding each day, which may be all your fanny will want anyway!
