Community

We care deeply for our community and we enjoy " doing our part" by organizing charitable events. Toys For Tots (see below) is one of our favorite events.

Annual Toys for Tots Ride, Sunday, Nov 29, 2009!(Ride Report Below)

Highland Park held their 4th annual Highland Park Toys for Tots charity event this past Sunday, November 29, 2009. We had a huge turnout, and four large boxes of toys were collected, as well as cash donations.

As with past years, a "slow race" was held over a demanding obstacle course, where each participant tries to complete the course on their motorcycle at the slowest pace possible without falling over or touching a foot to the ground. Balance and coordination are key factors in a rider having a good score.

Highland Park contributes one dollar for every second it takes the best (slowest) rider to complete the obstacle course. 16 year old Hunter Williams of Dalton Ga, was the winner this year, completing the course in 314 seconds, so Highland Park added another $314 to the cash donations for the Toys for Tots charity fund collected by Highland Park over the weekend.

During the 4 years Highland Park has been doing their Toys for Tots charity event, hundreds of toys and thousands of dollars have been collected to help underprivileged children in the local Cedartown area have a very merry Christmas. Thank you to all who attended and made our Toys for Tots event a huge success!

Past Community Events:

Highland Park entered a float in the annual Christmas Parade in Cedartown last Decemeber, it was fun stuff, the kids watching the parade really lit up when seeing the KTM 65's on the float, video slideshow from the event:
